Just wanted to keep you guys in the loop. We have just released the new single off the Misure's upcoming album "This Is the Time" scheduled for a early 2010 release. Just trying to get some feedback from professionals like you all are. Misure is also scheduled for shows starting in September in areas like North Carolina, Atlanta, and Alabama. We are always looking for more gigs if need be. So enjoy and let us know what you think.
I first would like to say that I like the concept of your song. But I started to loose interest when I started hearing the vocalist singing with the Autotune, I said uh oh.
I'm sitting here trying to find the right words to say to you without giving you a harsh review.
Jay Z said it best, and he really came off with D.O.A, which stuck a nerve with T-Pain. T-pain miss the point and misunderstood what Jay Z was trying to relay to the listeners.
I like originality, and love hearig the raw vocals. Some artists use this device to enhance their voice, but If the person can really sing there is no need to use that device.
These songs are all starting to sound too much alike with the addition of the Autotune added.
Dont get me wrong some songs sound really nice with the Autotune projecting their voices, but when everyone starts to using and coping it all the songs are starting to sound the same.
Power 105.1 FM sends me surveys to listen to and rate songs , If I come across any with the Autotunes in them I tend to skip them, Give me some originality any day!
And now with T-Pain coming out with this Iphone with a built-in autotune device where one can sing into their phones and get that Autotune affect, which sounds like a fun thing to do, until one probably get tired of it and wind up buying a new phone.
All the songs are starting to sound like a clone of the other, and this causes people to grow tired of the song very fast. I would love to hear your song without the Autotune added. Maybe you should try having the artist sing the song without the Autotune, and then let others review it and give their responses on it.
I didn't mean to be so long winded, I hope that I didn't sound too harsh, no pun was intended.
Thanks for the wise words of wisdom. I totally agree with you on the use of Autotune. Some have taken this tool and ABUSED it. Truthfully, when we used it for this single it was something for fun and thought it would be a nice addition but my artist truly is a talented singer, songwriter, and producer. And no, I don't think you were harsh or anything I personally thank you for the scoop. I or should I say WE appreciate your honesty and thanks for replying to this post. I was beginning to think is there anyone on MusicPower still here. I been affiliated with them for a minute now. Thanks again.
